There are many schools that employ teachers on a part time basis meaning that the classroom is shared with another teacher. This may be split mornings and afternoons or complete days. So what are the complications and effects on working his way for teachers and pupils?

Some teachers find it hard to work as part of a job share as they have to constantly liaise with the other teacher to ensure that the pupils are being taught all the subjects they need to whilst also making sure that certain topics are not doubled up. Teachers often have very different way of working and so it may be that both teachers need to be a lot more flexible in their approach as to not confuse the pupils.

If a classroom is being shared on a long term basis, then it is vital that the teachers responsible ensure that the main priority is the pupils learning and they will need to be able to maintain a high level of communication on a regular basis.
