Is a degree that was completed online taken seriously?

With many of us not having the time or funds to be out of work and return to university, doing a degree online is a fantastic way of obtaining further qualifications. There are many companies that offer the opportunity to do a degree online, with little or no classroom attendance. Often people think that this type of learning is not thought as highly as of that which is done at a physical university, but this tends not to be the case.

Recent research has shown that many employers actually favour applicants that have this type of further education as it shows that they have ambition and are willing to push themselves whilst also trying to manage a job or family. It shows that you are able to learn quickly and have the ability to complete a course which little help from a lecturer or other students. Having any degree is a bonus in the employment world, but it may be that completing it online not only saves you money but also gives you a head start.
