Applying for a job is easy right? You send out a CV, and then you wait… Wrong. This is not the case today, you should be giving the individual reading your job application every reason possible about why they should employ you, and a cover letter can help.

You should think of a cover letter and a CV as a married couple; you should never have one without the other. The pair complement each other and give information on your relevant experience. With a cover letter you should ideally not write too much, as you may make your potential employee lose interest.

Instead you should keep the cover letter simple, with key points expressing your suitability, and sentences that clearly relate to the job requirements. A cover letter can  be your key to a a successful job application, and hopefully a successful career.
